Terms, in plain English

This is a plain-English summary of how the desk works. The binding terms of service control, and nothing here is legal, tax, or investment advice.

01You trade with the desk

When you place an order, btx⇄trade is on the other side of it. You’re trading with the desk, not with other users.

02Filled within your price

You set a limit price, and the desk fills your order at a price no worse than it. Your orders are private, so there’s no public order book or price feed.

03Your funds

Funds you deposit are held by the desk until you trade or withdraw. Withdrawals are sent only to an address you’ve added and confirmed by email.

04Pricing and fees

The desk earns the spread between the two sides it matches, plus a fee. You can always check your own average price by dividing what you received by what you paid.

05Eligibility and screening

Access is closed and may require verification. The desk may screen deposit and withdrawal addresses and may decline or reverse activity that fails compliance or sanctions screening.

06No advice

Nothing here is investment, legal, or tax advice. Digital assets carry risk, including total loss of value.
